Hello & Welcome!
ASCE @ FAU provides opportunities for students to learn how to communicate effectively, lead and work as a team in a professional engineering environment. The success of the organization is largely dependent upon the product and financial support that we get from corporations and individual sponsors. The latter brings me to my question. We are seeking donations and sponsorships to help us, Designed Connections, a senior student design group that is diligently working with Engineers in Action (EIA), under ASCE, to design and build a pedestrian bridge in a foreign country, Eswatini in Africa. Our mission is to create a positive change in the world by providing connections to different communities with sustainable infrastructure design. The goal is to raise $30,000 to fund the bridge and a portion of all donations and sponsorships will assist the students to travel to Eswatini in Africa and oversee and assist in the construction of the bridge. Furthermore, donations and sponsorships will contribute for the 2021 ASCE Southeast Regional Conference that will be held virtually. As a college community we are working with surrounding schools to put together a safe and fun competition so that we may indeed race this year’s concrete canoe.
We are hoping that you will become one of this year’s sponsors. Your company can benefit from the positive publicity you will receive as we prepare and compete in the competition and the construction of the pedestrian bridge. Your logo will appear on t-shirts we wear to Africa, the competitions, and at our website. Donors and sponsors will be informed on the use of their donations every step of the way.As a student engineering organization through FAU, ASCE can be a tax write off in accordance with section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code.
We greatly appreciate you taking the time to support our organization and help inspire the next
generation of working-class engineers.Sponsorship Packages
The goals of retaining sponsorships are to provide support to the Florida Atlantic University ASCE Student Chapter to design, build, and compete in the competitions within the ASCE Southeast Student Conference and push the boundaries of what is possible in the fields of civil engineering. Currently we are pushing boundaries by partnering with Engineers in Action to build a pedestrian footbridge in Eswatini, Africa. Furthermore, all donations are subjected to be tax deductible under a 501C3 organization.
