ASCE is the civil engineer’s most extensive professional organization. ASCE strives to provide opportunities for students to learn how to communicate effectively, lead and work as a team in a professional engineering environment. ASCE strives to help the community by participating in local beach cleanups and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. In the past, we have competed in several divisions like Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge and Surveying, where we have placed with in the top ten against other universities. FAU hosted the ASCE Southeast Regional Conference in 2017 where we won a number of awards. We competed in Gainesville and won awards and in Knoxville last year where we placed 3rd in the Balsa Wood Competition, “Shake it Off” (2019).
The success of the organization is largely dependent upon the product and financial support that we get from corporations and individual sponsors. The latter brings me to my question. We are seeking donations and sponsorships to help us with 2020 ASCE Southeast Regional Conference at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. We are hoping that you will become one of this year’s sponsors. Your company can benefit from the positive publicity you will receive as we prepare and compete in the competition. Your logo will appear on t-shirts we wear at the competition and our website. As a student engineering organization through FAU, ASCE can be a tax write off in accordance with section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code.

The success of our student chapter is greatly dependent on the generous support of corporate sponsors & individuals. We are looking for sponsors as well as direct industry participation. As a sponsor of ASCE @ FAU, you're able to keep in touch directly with our students and the university. Your support gives young and motivated engineers the chance to gain additional practical experience by participating in our project.
Ways to Support Us
- Material: Supplier of materials such as concrete and steel
- Knowledge: Specialist on related topic and support with time & knowledge
- Fabrication: Provide tools or machines needed to manufacture parts
- Financial: Support by donating money or services
All donations are tax deductible, we are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
